One collector lives in Bundaberg and he came back from Thailand yesterday and was talking at my place about Maprang being plentiful in Thailand. His place does get ocassional frost. I will ask him if he brought any seeds back or already growing some seedling when he is settled from his excitment of his trip.

Many years ago, I gave some seeds to a collector in Brazil after I brought the seeds from Singapore where I bought quite a lot of fruits. They were called Sour Fruit in Singapore as they were the wild sour varities exported from Indonesia.

Some Singaporean stalls call Maprang "Sour Fruit". The famous sweet Mayong Child from Thailand is called Thailand Peipa.
