I grew 2 types of corn this winter and both were left too long for eating.I don't know if they are sweet corn or wax corn and will find out next season.Black corn is a real eye opener if you haven't seen it before.

Great photograph Mike.. I had some seeds of the Hopi blue corn still attached to the cob and used as a decoration, but too old to germinate worse luck.. have your Thai white waxy corn in with fingers crossed it'll do well.

Hopi blue corn? Is there an Australian supplier? Watermelon piki is the greatest thing long before sliced bread!

I still crave it from my travels staying at Old Oraibi. Many types of interesting corn, including very vibrant red and white multicoloured and blue black multi. Its grown in the valley and hauled up the cliff for grinding. If I was interested in growing back then I definitely would have returned with a few kernels.

The previous lot went for about $36.00. Must be some keen buyers out there, good to know it's still in the country tho

A guy I know grows the blue hopi corn. Haven't seen him for a few years but I assume he still grows it. I have the smaller popcorn version in a jar about 3 year old seed, makes good popcorn !

The brother was cleaning out his old seeds, and gave me some old Super Sweet Bicolour corn seeds (use-by date 2008).
Had a few misses, but have no more seeds left :-(
I see Yates have Sun 'n' Snow corn seeds now (same thing?)
Photo of my bicolour corn, been in about 3 weeks.

They're for sale here, but a bit pricey!

Hey Mike (Cairns) - I have some cobs forming on your Thai White Waxy corn which you sent me a few months ago, the plants grew well and strongly. Can you suggest how it is best used - eaten fresh or more as a maize type?
