This is not a slight against Daleys, as they sent my order on Monday as they said they would.

However their courier of choice (Fastway) was useless, at least from the Melbourne end. My package arrived in Melbourne the next day, but 5 days later I am yet to recieve my plants.

Doesn't really sound like the courier is very true to their name.

I can only imagine what state the plants will be on Monday....if they arrive.

Please keep us informed; I have had no problems with deliveries to me (in Sydney). Plants always arrive in good condition within a week of ordering. If the local couriers in Melbourne are not doing the right thing, perhaps Daleys can do something about it.

I live in Altona and I find the plants I order always arrive in less than a week and in great condition.

Hi Nick,

The plants may or may not be in great condition. I don't know yet they still haven't arrived.

My point is what sort of courier keeps a parcel undelivered for a week once it reaches it's destination city? Plant or otherwise?

It's a pretty lousy courier service, I've received parcels from North QLD via Aussie Post to my door in 2 days.

Anyway, I've done my venting, thanks for listening :)

FAstway are A grade bodgy, the low cost means that they only deliver to ceratin areas periodocally and save the driving.

Thus a bad service to the customer, Daleys used to use Star Track???

I think a plant should not sit in a box for more than a week; I think the contract between nursery and courier should include the clause that plants must be delivered within x number of days.

there isnt a great number of options for objects over 1m for the type of price home gardeners want to pay and the smaller quantities required. Fastaways is a bit dodgy, with the tracking numbers that often dont work and not having a reliable website, but I always seem to get my plants within the week from Daleys.

I had a tree delivered by Star Track last week from Daleys so they are still around. Am always amazed at the superb condition they arrive in.
