I bought a Dwarf Black Mulberry back in late March. I has been in the ground since and has slowly deteriorated. Now all the leaves are dropping. Is this just seasonal or will it recover?

Where abouts are you?
March would be totally the wrong time if year to plant in SA, nsw, taz, act etc. This is probably why it hasn't looked too happy until now.
It is loosing it's leaves now because it is winter, nothing to worry about. Use a good fertiliser in spring and it should do much better come spring.

If the mulberry was planted from a pot (likely if bought in March) then planting at that time of year is fine if you keep the water up to it. But as per above- don't worry about the leaves- it's going dormant for the winter.

Fine if the water is kept up to it, but not ideal for establishing the plant, which is likely why it has looked unhappy.

I planted mine in pot in Jan, it trippled it's height (but no side growth), now it has dropped all it's leaves being deciduous plant, only one leaf left now. But it has already started re-growing and new growth seems to be forming fruits as well. So don't worry, your plant will also start putting on new growth soon.

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions. We are in Brisbane, Qld. Have kept the water up, so maybe we should just sit it out and wait for new growth!
