Hi all,
I am dissapointed to discover the red dacca banana I purchased is actually a dwarf red dacca. I can't find any information on the dwarf form, does anyone have any experience with these and how high they grow? I was intending to use it as a privacy filler in a vacant spot but shorty might not be up to the task :(

It's a very vigorous banana. Mine is dying to get out of its pot and has been sprouting leaves all winter. I was worried the dwarf variety would resemble dwarf Cavendish (which I bought unknowingly as it was incorrectly labelled). My dwarf Cavendish has grown all winter too but it is a very short plant.

Hi, Just wondering if anyone in Qld has a Red Dacca (Dwarf) Mum and I have been trying to get one for ages. Bananas are difficult to get up here, unless you know someone or get a tissue culture. Cheers. Please email me. Thanks!

Red Dacca sure is a fast grower . Huge leaves pop out every week and I have had to trim off several suckers
