why hasnt my fejoa fruited. flowered for 3 years very well. does it need a cross pollinator?

No. But seedlings will take a few years or more to bear. Get yourself a grafted variety, you'll be picking fruit just about in the first year.

Yes it took my three seedlings around 5 years to start fruiting. Very spasmodic and no two fruits are of same size or shape or quality.

You ll love the fruit of the Fejoa. Probably how it got it s name of Pineapple Guava. It s vaguely reminicent of a sugary not so acidic pineapple with a strong unique flavour. If you get a nice one before the fruit fly move in, it is simple divine.
I have recently bought 4 different cultivars to experiment with grafting them onto my seedling trees in the future.
