Lime green grubs eating my young fig trees
Can anyone identify these and suggest a possible treatment? I have 1 year old young fig trees in pots which were doing incredible until these guys showed up. They are a lime green coloured grub which attacks the new shoots, young fruit and also where the leaf stem meets the base of the leaf. Seems to be anywhere the tree has new and vulnerable growth?
I am on the NSW south coast, however several kms inland in the mountains so don

Croakes, I have exactly the same grub boring into my figs and shoots and can't find any information on the internet. They tend to be around in summer but not in the cooler weather. I'll be watching with interest for any information on what they are and how to control them.

probably moth or beetle larvae. not much you can do for borers other than prune affected branches off and make sure the plants are not stressed.
