Fig tree pests? (forum)

Said starts with ...
Hi,
Just a question about my fig tree fruit.
When the figs are developing they are ok but when they ripen and the fruit is grabed for picking a smalll insect or pest flys out, and also when the fig is opened before eating this also happens.
This happens to all the fruit from the tree except in the begining about 10% id ok but then they all have the same problem.
If you can please advise what to do about this problem (treatment)as im loosing all of the very nice fruit

get a jar with a lid and try and trap some (you could even put the whole fig
in the jar) and take it to your local garden centre.
one of my varieties is a black genoa
they are so good i eat the peel and all.
