Flicks Yellow pomelo / sanbokan (forum)

It has just been pointed out to me that the Flick's yellow 'pomelo' is actually this Japanese citrus sanbokan which has the characteristic bulge at the top. Nothing to do with a pomelo (It doesn't look like one or taste like one either) https://citrusvariety.ucr.edu/citrus/sanbokan.html
Daleys description says 'Certain characteristics suggest this is not a true pummelo but a hybrid.
Other Names: shaddock, pomelo, pummelo, pommelo, lusho, Citrus' Maybe this description should be updated.

Thanks for this information. I agree that the fruit does not resemble a pomelo. It is not bitter bur has a delicate fresh flavour, quite tasty, and is a favourite in our family.

I thought there was a connection, but wondered if the Flicks fruit was a bigger version of Sanbokan ??
Anyone done a side by side comparison??
How about seed content ?? Sanbokan can have a fair number of seed. I would call Sanbokan a lemonade type, not a pummelo.
