Florida Gold papaya seeds to good home (forum)

I have six remaining florida gold papaya seeds left, which I'll send in the post for free if somebody wants them. This is the high-yield, self pollinating variety with paper thin edible skin. I've included a picture.

Note: If BJ wants them, he will get them, having earned priority by patiently answering my galactically idiotic questions.

Ok David. First in first served, I guess (assuming BJ doesn't need them).

I would have had more but a lot of them were destroyed in transit, I'd say 3/4 of the bag (imported from the US, surivived customs, amazingly). I can email you the seller details if you like, too.

cheers

Do you have a couple of spare seeds left starling?
I hate asking, but those Florida golds look very tempting. Happy to supply seeds to others from first crop.

Sorry Guys I only have six seeds left, and David put his hand up first (Also Bj has priority).

These were an Ebay purchase (Only seller on ebay I could find who had this variety of florida Gold papaya).

I planted probably 30 or so seeds. If shipping isn't too insane I might be able to send seedlings. Maybe local pickup, I'd require some proof of sanity first though.

Here's the ebay link to them--no idea how many he has left.

I will have the following seeds available for next season:

Black futsu pumpkin
Red Kuri pumpkin
Tiger melon
Moonbeam watermelon
Purple apple berry
Kiwano melon
Raspberry canes (native & two crop per season variety, red)

I have some pink banana seeds too (vusa melutina) which I payed a bit for. I don't think I have the skill to grow them TBH but really want the plant, so maybe there's someone on the boards I can work something out with (I.E I send the all the seeds and one day collect a plant. MayBe thats a fuax pas though).

There were for sale some super rare banana seeds on ebay (grow light blue coloured bananas--turquoise, really) but at 100$ were too rich for my taste.

Yes I saw those indigo blue banana seeds on EBay. One lot of 5 seeds went for over $100, INSANE! I'm not sure if they are representing the true colour, someone here might be able to verify if true. I saw a pic of a red dwarf banana there as well, mine are not nearly as red as their sample pic.
starling, if you want a pink Velutina,I have them growing here like weeds, happy to swap.
I bought some seeds of Musa Sikkimensis Darjeeling, Red Tiger, cheaply, only hope I can get them germinated. Glad I didn't pay $100 for them that's for sure.

Would love a pink Vel John but I doubt I've got anything you'd want. I can't swap the florida papaya seeds I have as they're already promised. I think I'll buy more of them though, will let you know if I do. Last night I managed to find the edible fern on ebay and popped on that.

Actually, there is a super rare native which grows on the property (grows a pod, its actually a prehistoric plant) but you can't eat it and I wouldn't call it ornamental.

Yeah, those blue bananas were pretty out there. Not sure if they're worth 100 bucks--not to me anyway.

Also, I'll see your chilly willy and raise you:

That's OK, still happy to send you one, you're obviously keen to grow them.
They are edible, but only just, too many seeds. There might be a ripe fruit on there to send as well.

You can contact me on

Oh, the booby fruit is fake as well:

"In fact, these breast-shaped luffas are man-made products created by Nguyen Thi Hoai Mo, a 28-year old artist hailing from Ha Tinh. She used silicon and composites to make them, and crafted the shape of each

Ok John, great. In that case I can swing it so some gold seedlings arrive in the post for you. I'll send you the address later, muchly appreciated.

The breast gourd is fake too?! Wow, the needle on my gullibility-o-meter is getting a good workout this week.

Seller still won't admit that those nashi pears only grow to those forms in moulds. I cancelled my order in any case.
