Have you grown these? Can you tell me anything about the Bould d'or and the Banana melon? Meanwhile, I'll Google it.

Boul d'or is a very, very fine green melon. Orange rind. Very rare, green flesh, delicate flavor. Probably the best green melon there is.
Banana melon looks like a pawpaw and taste like a rockmelon/pawpaw from reports. I am yet to taste it.
Moon and stars melon is an amazing fruit. The variety I have has very crisp orange flesh. It has a very dark green skin, with at least one very large yellow spot and a spattering of tiny little yellow spots--hence the name moon and stars. It is a large, oblong melon, one of the best out there, maybe the best I have tried along with the golden midget.

Mango or canary melon is the orange fleshed yellow skin one and toadskin melon is green and lumpy with white flesh. They are 2 great tasting melons becoming more popular in north Queensland.

I've tried the toadskin one (it was called something else, I bought it from coles) and thought it was meh. The rockmelon looks like some sort of charentais, mango melon looks delicious, I'd love to try it.

Actually mike while you're on the boards will all melons cross pollinate? Like will a charentaise cross with a watermelon/muskmelon? I have a few growing in close proximity right now and I'm a bit worried.

Mango melon is great. Unfortunately bugs think so too. Super aromatic and quite creamy for a melon. Intense flavor. I have a few volunteers up and flowering now. Also trying orangeglo watermelon.

Starling just within species like C.melo but not across species like watermelon. Variety names are confusing. Is this what you are calling musk melon?

Yeah, I would call that a muskmelon but also a bunch of other green fleshed melons. For example I would call the boule d'or a muskmelon, but the reality is I'm not sure if it is or not. I have one green which has a sort of spicy taste, doesn't have much flesh and is very seedy but is delicious, cinnamon-like. I tend to search for old cultivars which have fallen out of fashion or cultivation for whatever reason, a lot of the ones I have come from france, behind that the US and after that spain. I really rate the golden midget as far as watermelons go, its just such a good quality fruit and the vine is so tidy.
