hi All,
I'd greatly appreciate some feedback.
I'm currently prototyping a protection structure system for fruit trees. The structure could be used for hail protection, shade cloth, frost protection, insect, bat and bird protection. I'd like to know what systems are currently use and problems they encounter. Any thoughts?
I'm also looking at a variant for large trees. What methods are people using for larger trees? (ie 3 meters and taller). Is it benificial to have a system that can be installed by one person, no ladders or forklifts/cherry pickers?
I'm trying to gauge if there is market for a system that is fast to errect and dismantle by a single person, can be stored away when not in use and can be used for various sized trees (up to about 4m)?
If your interested please send an email to treeprotectionsystems@gmail.com

Don't forget the bush rat. I set up an enclosure for a fig tree and used the exclusion netting sold by Bunnings. The rats easily bit through it and ate the figs. So I now use a wire netting going down into the soil and that seems to work well.
