If it's not too cold at your location then try achacha's, they can fruit in shade is what i read. I also grow some in shade. Also lemon drop mangosteen.

I think achacha is too tropical for wollongong. A mulberry should give some fruit, you can get a dwarf pakistan one or a taller one. Some bananas I have seen growing in some shade but not every banana would do it.

Interestingly a lot of citrus will tolerate some shade, esp fingerlimes. You may not get a huge crop but enough to satisfy a single household. I would also go for loquat, pawpaws and guavas.

not a fruit tree but i have an alpine strawberry plant happily fruiting and growing in a shady spot. more of something to just graze on but the tiny fruit is packed with flavour

It's really hard to kill achachairu, so no worries. I have overwatered and underwatered and frost and whatnot. Still growing steadily. I have all mine in full sun.
