Does anyone have gac seeds that I can acquire? You will be handsomely rewarded in a swap as I have a better selection of rarities than ever before.

Mike, depends on how urgently you need them. I have a source (in Viet Nam) and may be able to get as many as needed in a few weeks.

Will speak with my guy and get back to you. He's here on a holiday and is going back to VN in a few weeks. Are you chasing anything else from VN? He's not a grower but it won't hurt to try our luck? I've already got a short list for him.

I'm not really after anything at the moment (was chasing the UD hog plum - got a bit ahead of myself as mum likes the tree but don't have room for the normal size tree that I have) but its probably too cold for it now.

Mmmmm...so a dwarf Eugenia or Jaboticaba suitable for a pot and not one of the 'regular' species is not of interest.UD hog plums fruit in pots.

To be honest, I would be wanting whatever you have on offer, but have just reached my limit for the time being. At least until the weather warms up. I'm awaiting some seeds from Luc (g. brasiliensis, g. intermedia & dwarf cashew). I have no idea what i'm doing but keen to have a go.

He still has mexicans I think and certainly has E.motossi.If you get the list from him you can see what is available.
I have a few cold tolerant and small species.

I've got some Mexicans that are hopefully germinating away... As a back up plan I've got some more seeds on the way which I'll save till the weather warms up (just not too confident with the first batch - got them indoors but I'm scared it might still be too cold for them).

Are you after any g.brasiliensis or g. Intermedia? I can increase my order and send you some?

Hi Kim, did you ever receive your dwarf cashews? I've read they can fruit in 6 to 18 months from seed - and in a pot. I'm keen to get one myself.

Hi John. Yes - from five seeds, I now have three seedlings. All five seeds germinated but I lost two due to my inexperience. They were not the quick fruiting kind - just dwarfing I think. It was mentioned they fruit 4-5 years from seed.

It happens to the best of us. I wonder how many dwarfing varieties there are? Did you source them locally?
I'm trying to get a dwarfing variety that fruits very early, like I mentioned above, between 6 and 18 months from seed.

The poster formerly known as... says...
There seem to be at least 10 dwarf cashew varieties released from Embrapa alone. The fast fruiting one is likely a cross between a normal commercial type and the dwarf variety C1001.

Hi all,
'I think I know your source' Is there some reason why you can't post where to get dwarf cashews from?
