Haven't grown this melon to fruit stage yet, just have spares. All of my melons were obliterated due to the heat in 2013. It is supposedly like a better version of piel de sapo/ mango melon. These seeds are not sold nationally, and come from the Turkey region.

I'd be happy to trial a few seeds next growing season if there are any left. I bought a couple of piel de sapo last Christmas and was pleasantly surprised at the flavour of the dull looking, hard skinned fruit.

Done. Got a whole bunch of them.
Should be easier to grow than sapo, seeds I planted came up in 3 days.
Piel de sapo translates to 'skin of toad/toad skin as I read it. It's a very nice melon if you like subtle flavor, and I happen to.
