The Gold Nugget mandarin was bred in California and is a hybrid of Wilking (King tangor x Willowleaf mandarin) x Kincy (King tangor x Dancy mandarin). The variety has Plant Breeder’s Rights (PBR) protection and is managed in Australia by Nu Leaf IP Pty Ltd.
May not be available to home gardeners.
King, Willowleaf and Dancy are the parents.
These have been around for years, rarely seen now.
Gold Nugget is a milder version of King to my tastes.
If you buy a heap of fruit, there is a chance of getting seed. It is most likely true to type in a "seedless" mandarin, or pretty close.
Kara Kara is another King hybrid.
Many mandarins with knobbly skin are King Hybrids.
Cam Sanh is also a King Type mandarin https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/forum/vietnamese-oranges/

Thank you for that information. I shall contact Nu Leaf IP to see if I can purchase any Gold Nugget Mandarin trees.

They are not open to backyard growers, unless you have a farm--of course you need to sign agreements not to spread them to outsiders.

Just a small note to jakfruit - cam xanh is an orange (cam means orange and xanh means green). This is a popular variety grown in Vietnam.
