Granadilla (forum)

I bought a granadilla plant from Daleys and in its first year it flowered well. This year, it is starting to flower again. Do I have to self-pollinate? If so, how and when? And, I have a sweet liliquoi in the same situation.

If it didn't set fruit in the first year by itself then it is definitely worth while getting a paint brush and taking the pollin off the flowers and placing them on other flowers. The best time is when the flowers are open up usually in the afternoon.
Otherwise you could always place a few bee hives in your backyard.

Andy try Correy's trick with the soft paint brush and hand pollinate the flowers, both of these passionfruits can be tricky to get to set fruit, it may even be a very good idea to cross pollinate the flowers with the pollen from your other vine, this will give you hybrid fruits but this may be better than no fruit at all. I think they have the most gorgeous flowers of all the passionfruits.
