Can anyone give me the name of a grape which has fleshy fruit larger than most and green, brown purple speckled skin. I think it has a french name. They also have a few quite large seeds. They are sometimes imported as table grapes from America. I bought a vine in New Zealand
many years ago and it was a very strong grower once established.

Sounds like a Vitis rotundifolia . Put that in your search engine and then look at varieties ; many have funky sounding names.

Does anyone else have problems with powdery mildew on their grape vines too? I have two that are looking superb and carrying loads of tiny bunches - but now the weather is going all humid and stormy - do I just routinely spray with the copper stuff (Kocide)?
(not a picture of my grapes of course...too wet to take pic)
