growing garlic in qld (forum)

len starts with ...
what is the best variety have sen mexican and chinese mentioned would like other than small bulbs for ease of pealing.

do they need to be sprouting before planting was planning on late feb early march planting

'Glenlarge' is probably the best to try Len, it should be available next month from: https://www.greenharvest.com.au/Plants/GarlicToKrachai.html
Failing that, try local markets etc. Local usually grows better.

len, I'm no help with varieties, but they don't need to be sprouting before you plant them. Mine are usually up in about a week after planting.

Last year my local orchard was selling sprouted garlic cheaply - no-one wants to buy it for eating!
