Most should be okay in 9b or 9a. I'd imagine the best types for Turkey might be the ones developed in or adapted to California.

I live in a mostly cool climate with 9a cold and extreme heat in Summer, sometimes. Probably similar to Turkey.
I think the hybrid Macadamia's are the best, at least they are the strongest growers here for me. Neither of the pure species grow as strongly here.
