Help - Indoor Avocado Plants (forum)

Hi guys,

A year or 2 ago my partner and I started growing 2 Avocado plants indoor. They have been growing like crazy over the last 6 months. On has gone very high, while the other one is small and bushy.

I have no idea which type of avocados they are though.

For the last couple of days some leaves are starting to change. Our tall plant even shows black dots on the lower leaves and one fell off this morning.

Anyone has some advise? And would Osmocote be a good fertiliser?

Cheers,
Flo

Hi Flo,

Major problem with avocado is root rot due to overwater and leaf burn due to over dose fertilisation. The first step to stop feeding fertiliser and remove any excess fertiliser on the top soil and check the soil moisture. Monitor the situation for a few weeks to see any improvement. Cheers
