Hi can you tell me how and when is the best way to prune my dwarf black mulberry tree. It is in its third season and still not real tall or bushy. It is bearing fruit at the bottom to middle of the tree while its grown new growth at the same time from the middle to the top. Do I let it do its own thing. Also it is getting a lot more growth on the sunnier side of the tree or I allow this or should it be pruned so its even all round. Thanks Tory-T

Hi Tory,
you can prune once or twice a year.
1. First one early winter after the second harvest
2. Second prune after the first harvest it happens about next month in Melbourne.
3. if you miss the second prune you don't get the second crop or very little crop.
4. to prune it you just cut back 20cm to 30cm from the tip of the branches. Cheers
