Hi Fruitist/ Forum-ist,
I am just wondering if anyone from Sydney or lower south of Sydney ever successfully cultivated Jackfruit and harvested the fruits? I miss this fruit so much and I will I am able to grow them.
Thank you.

Green Jade nursery in Wallacia famously had a productive Jackfruit tree but it was rumoured he took it to bed with him.

I have seen fruit hanging off jakfruit trees here in Wollongong. Not sure how they taste and if they fully ripen up though. I have a 3 year 'black gold' planted and its going great. Should expect some fruit off it in a year or two.

If you search the forum for a 'chempedak' thread, you will find a photo of Jakfruit fruiting in Cabramatta.

HappyEarth, BJ thank you.
HappyEarth, Where did you get your Black Gold from?
BJ, That is encouraging. If Chempedak can grow in Cabramatta, Wahroonga would be good as well I believe.
