Kaffir Lime Tree: Crippled new leaves (forum)

My kaffir lime tree is producing new big leaves, flowering buds etc, however the new leaves become crippled before they turn darker green.
This is my first edible tree so I don't really know what to do. Does it needs potash or something? Any tips?
Many thanks.

Can you describe the crippled effect in more detail? Kaffir lime leaves are an odd, almost violin shape, or is it some type of disease they have?

It looks like either sunburn, windburn or salt scalding. I'd probably try and protect the tree if it is exposed to the elements, the new growth may improve the appearance of the tree.

i don't have to protect my kaffir lime n i live in colder melbourne. did you fertilise the plant before these funny leaves happen? does look like some burns. potash is for flowering and fruiting so it wont be the one to use.
