Kiwi Fruit not ripening (forum)

I have an almost 10 year old Bruno Kiwi, this winter with around 20 good sized fruit, but hardly any of them ripened, I just cut the last 6 off the vine, still hard. What would be the reason for that?

They are usually picked hard, and ripen on the bench. If they are picked too early they may never ripen.
