Koda Deficiency??? (forum)

My Koda Tree (Ehretia acuminata) has been going though a weird growth cycle. After losing its leaves in winter, it produces lots of lush growth and grows really quickly. Then almost as quickly the leaves develop chlorosis like iron deficiency and then brown blotches and then they dry out and fall. After a few weeks dormancy it bursts into life again. Is this normal or a deficiency?
I've used Iron chelates with no effect, Epsom salts with no effect and Potassium. All plants near the Koda are growing healthily.
