Did you see this tree lenn..? Sounds interesting! Kwai Muk is supposed to be one of the more cold tolerant artocarpus...?
I wonder how southern they will go...mine may well me the most southern one in WA at present..? I haven't heard of anyone with another around the gardening traps...
Mine (also about 1.8m tall) seems happy enough since I planted it out back in Aug (and it was chilly then) I wasn't sure how it would go - bring it 600kms further south.
I hasn't wanted to push out it's new buds yet tho...
Meanwhile the Jackfruit next to it is growing well (so far..)

Gee that's quick John Mc!? Mine is a seedling - about 5 or 6yrs old now - so maybe I will see some action soon?
I'm not really too bothered about the fruit tho...it's the tree that I love..it's a lovely/handsome looking one I think.. :)

Here are some pictures of the Richmond Kwai Muk I got from Daleys a while back.
It's now putting out flushes of red new foliage so it doesn't seem to be fussed about the extreme icy conditions we've been having in Melbourne. Cheers!
