Loquat fruits (forum)

Hello,

Does anyone know if loquats grown on the new or old wood of the tree? Just attemtping to pick the plethora of fruit and thought I could prune it at the same time...saves me reaching to pick...just prune the bits off with fruits and pick at a normal height :)

Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery says...
It is on the new wood so yes pruning now is a good time. They are a good tree to keep under 2 meters this way.
