Oman at your latitude you will need much altitude for this subtropical species. Maybe 1500m on the coast near Accra and 1000m in the north would be needed. On the equator side of 19 latitude macadamias don't do so well.

And in Cairns at times trikus but they are living on the edge and many trees don't produce.Atherton,Brisbane or Newcastle would allow trees to do their thing better.Tully is between 18 and 19 latitude but Ghana is almost equatorial.

No doubt there are other more suitable tropical nuts for our African op. .. Manfreds 2 macadamias have rewarded him with a bucket or so of nuts for a few years now .. they look pretty healthy atm . Not the ideal tree for wet tropics yes .. and being a native they seem prone to many more pests .

From memory Macadamia whelani and M.grandis are two of those in NQ.They are quite toxic and have very large fruit.I think there is one at Iron Range as well.
Dypteryx and Lecythis would be better nut options for tropical Africa.
