Mandarin trees (forum)

I have an Emperor Mandarin tree I planted in the garden over a year ago. It has never grown, or produced any new leaves. The leaves left on it don't look that healthy either. It gets sun, we water it regularly, but nothing happens. A grapefruit tree in same section of garden is looking great and presently producing lots of new young leaves. What could be the problem with the Mandarin?
Okay, have now included some pictures. The leaves are yellowing and have some brown spots which don't show in the pic unfortunately.

Dot you might get more helpful comments if you post a photo of the tree and its leaves. Otherwise its anyone's guess. It could just be taking a long time to settle in. I wouldn't water it too much if its not actively growing. When you say the leaves don't look healthy, do you mean they are yellowing? If so, whereabouts on the leaf?
