Mango seedling growing slow (forum)

I have planted a few mango seeds of different types a couple of months ago, and I'm noticing some drastic difference in their growing pace and pattern. For example the two seedlings on this picture were planted on the same day, but while the one on the left is already almost two feet tall, the one on the right has grown a lot of leaves but the stems seem to be stagnating at a few inches. Tthis particular plant has grown four stems from the seed, but they seem to all come from the same root – I have another seedling of the same variety that only grew one, but isn't growing any faster. They get plenty of sunlight and daily watering, good drainage. Not sure what these mangoes are called, but the slower growing ones were especially delicious, while the faster growing one was more "ordinary" here in Benin, West Africa.
Any idea if that's normal, or if I should be doing something different? I'm hoping to grow them to 2-3 feet tall before I put them in the ground.
Thanks a lot!

Mango seeds can produce several seedlings from each seed, this is entirely normal. You do need to separate these out to individual seedlings. Each seedling sprouts a few leaves and then put energy into growing roots, so during this time there is a pause in leaf production. They should push away in the coming weeks and months
