Hello everyone,
Have just joined the forum and seeking input.
I have a young cherimoya which has a tall, whippy central leader.
Was intending to prune it out to set up lower branches.
I wonder if it’s worth attempting to marcot it when the weather warms up a little?
I’m in mid north coast NSW about 40km inland.
Am a relatively new fruit tree grower, so still much to learn.
Cheers, Moyna

Hi Moyna,
Cherimoya have a very low success rate when it comes to marcots and cuttings, to the point where it’s nearly impossible. You will be much better off using the wood for grafting.
