Mystery Tree (forum)

jjv9955 starts with ...
We have recently moved to a new home (SE Qld - 550 metres above sea level))and have an unusual small tree in our new well established garden. It has small fruit emerging from the branches (approx 12 mm dia) - initially green then quickly turning dark brown/black. Previous owner tells us it produces twice a year and the fruit is edible (not the seeds). It looks a lot like the one on your website home page. We would like to know its name if anyone can help
Thanks

Before the fruits for the branches will be smothered in tiny white flowers.
