vittorio starts with ...
my orange mandarins and grapefruit trees produce very well but are not as sweet as the once you buy at shops, what is missing in the soil?

Hi vittorio, try adding Epsom Salts @ 1 handful/sqm under the canopy spread, and water that in. That will sweeten them up.

Citrus you have bought are grown in ideal areas that receive far more heat (ie.sugar development) than your location.
If you are on coastal sand with above average rainfall you may need supplemental magnesium. Deficiencies show up in older leaves first, as clear yellowing toward the apex. Epsom salts alone will not help if there is no deficiency.
