Maybe this is still current. I think there was also mentioned about the Sunday Canning Vale market...

557 posts in the other Pandanus amaryllifolius topic !!! wow thats a lot .. very popular plant .. here is how I have used my leaves lately... wrapped up several in a bundle and cooked them slowly in coconut milk for a few hours and let sit overnight . I then added palm sugar and lots of small bananas , simmer for about 15 mins and stored in fridge ,,, just delicous .. I did this as I had way to many bananas , drier was full , and I did not like these small fruits dried .
