Mar 06, 2016..Our passionfruit was growing vigorously and producing a great deal of fruit. It started to die from the top of the vine down. It is still holding onto some fruit and most is dropping off. It is still setting flower. What did we do or not do to it? Thanks

Sometimes you can buy the purple passionfruit grafted on a rootstock that resists the nasty root killing disease. I had one that lasted 12 years and died because i accidentally cut the root. Worth buying at any expense. They need feeding and watering for great cropping. Also prepare the soil bed very well for the long lasting vines.

Many thanks Denise ... I agree with you that grafted is a great idea and should have considered that investment initially. Shall definitely do so next time if this pair totally perish.

Some named cultivars could just be grafted on a vulnerable rootstock. You need to be sure that the rootstock is a disease resistant one. Daleys Supersweet 96A is on a fusarium resistant rootstock but it isnt clear if the other grafted ones are also resistant.
