Hi Adelaide Peter (n all) - out of interest this has been identified as a viral infection by Ag dept - it's gone over the Uni for testing (not sure how "bad" it's going to be - may take awhile for results).

Hi Peter - unfortunately no remedy except bin or burn. Anything worth a try but I have a feeling that Condies in any strong amount would probly kill it anyway (maybe the permangenate part?) Can't remember - I have great holes in my brain since children... ;)
The sunshine specials are left-overs from commercial sales (perhaps thats why they are not avail' much) I might try Daleys - as the fruit was really good and also BIG!! yummm..
