For Kath&Correy,
We met Kath last December when we collected our tree order and now we "know" Correy by Photo!. So for us "beginners" we have our Papaya cut off and shooting and soon will take a cuutting. Do we let cutting seal over before planting and sow direct to ground and/or to pot and plant out later?. Thanking you both.

Don't leave your cutting to seal once you have cut it from the tree, you will need to put it in straight away. Cut it from the tree and prepare it, when it is ready make the final cut at the bottom of the stem 5 mm below a bud, dip in hormone rooting powder/liquid and plant in a seed raising or cutting mix.
