I have a beautiful flourishing spinach plant that I find is getting eaten by something...all leaves have holes in them and a lot of the leaves are stripped eaten bare...I don't know what to do...is there a natural way for me to keep the pests away?
Thankyou...I'm in the south gold coast

It's difficult to recommend anything if you don't know what the pest is. There are different treatments for different pests. Try going out at night with a torch - you might find the culprits!
My basil is being eaten, I suspect by grasshoppers. It's possible they could be eating your spinach, but that's just a guess.

Hie Migereco that sounds a lot like white cabbage butterfly caterpillars. The white cabbage butterflies lay their eggs on the leaves, they hatch and green caterpillars start eating your leaves. I had the same issue before and the best way to control it organically is by using mosquito net or a net with very fine aperture like lace curtain. Spotlight usually has maerial similar to mosquito netting at discount prices..about $1.50 for a 2m x 1m sheet. Its a cheap and worthy investment :)
The other way to do it is by using Yates veggie dust. I got great results with both methods. Good luck to you.
