Wondering if anyone here that has grown Pitangatuba and if they've had any problems with Queensland Fruit Fly? I had Black Brazilian Cherries but didn't like the flavour until fully ripe and these where hit quite hard with fruit fly. The flavour of these are supposed to be the best tasting Eugenia.
Regards
Aaron

They will get hit by fruitfly, I was lucky till now, will have to spray again.
Would rate Pitomba best so far, orange brazillian cherry was good as well.
Had my first batch of pitangatubas a couple of weeks ago, another flowering has started. Will wait until next year for a better evaluation, you can't always base your opinion on the first fruiting.

Was wondering if the fruit flavour would improve with the addition of Epsom Salts ?
