Pomegranate Leaf drop (forum)

I have a pomegranate tree which I am growing from a sucker. It is aprox 3 years old. About 4 days ago I fed it with citrus and blood and bone fertilizer at the time it was looking good and showing new leaf on the tips of the branches. It also had old foliage all over the bush. After the feeding we had 145 mm of rain and when
i checked the plants i found the bush had dropped all the old leaves. None of my other fruit trees , which had been treated in the same way had shown this problem. I did not find any signs of insect damage. any ideas

What did the leaves look like? If they are yellow it is probably just going deciduous like mine.
