Potted Avocado leaves turning brown from the tip (forum)

Hello all, another one I am hoping you can all assist with, I have a Mexican Criollo variety avocado I am growing in a pot from seed. The tree is about 18 months old, and its leaves have started turning brown from the tip over the past three months. A link to images of both issues can be found below:

I have fertilised the tree with a blood/bone meal when I first potted it a year ago (40cmx30cm pot), and since then it has infrequently received a standard water soluble fertiliser from time to time. Gets a good watering once a week or so. Any ideas what it might be?

Thanks for that link, I'll give it a look. Elsewhere I read that avocados are chloride sensitive, so tap water can be rough on them. Wondering if its that.
