Proteas attract possums?? (forum)

au0rey starts with ...
Hi, does any one knows if native trees such as proteas attract possums? I have two in pots and thinking of planting them out onto the nature strip. They would probably grow in large trees there but I do not wish to invite possums since I have fruit trees in my garden.
Would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

I don't think the possums would eat them au0rey. There are mobs of these growing in NZ where possums are a "pest" (and happily culled/hunted etc - I have some possum wool socks from there ..delux!)
I have never seen them eaten by possums - but life stranger than fiction sometimes :0
