Pruning Nightmare (forum)

I have a 2 or 3 year old sunburst cherry tree and I've only just started to notice the importance of pruning. By now the tree is a pruning nightmare! It consists of the main vertical branch and from the bottom of it, another branch sticks out at a right angle to it. Then theres a smaller branch coming from between the 2 at a 45 degree angle. Both the main branches are about half a metre long and I don't have a clue how to go about pruning it. Can anybody help me? (The 1st pic shows the horizontal branch, the 2nd shows the intersection and the 3rd shows the vertical one.)

Have a look at www.woodbridgefruittrees.com.au website they have a very good cherry pruning example under the articles section.
BAsically, repeated chopping back when the tree is young to make it bushy.
Is called spanish bush pruning.
