Reed avocado dropping fruit (forum)

QRcode starts with ...
My Reed is dropping fruit--about the size of small eggs.
It is around 5 years old, planted on a mound and mulched. Leaves appear healthy and there is no die back on the tree.
There is plenty of moisture in the soil with this cool wet summer.
Any ideas why it may be dropping fruit and what may stop the rest from falling?
