Does anyone think it would be crazy to use those Colourbond Veggie Garden tins as a retaining wall? i have a sloped back yard and will be leveling the centre bit to form a small lawn. on either side i want veggies. the higher side will planted with trees and the lower side will also be planted with trees. thinking of two 3meter tins end to end as one retaining wall. will that work and last do you think?

Hi Natalie,
It would be a dearer way to go using those colorbond veggie gardens as retaining walls.
I would use those treated pine sleepers or besser block retainers.
I suppose you could use 'straight' colorbond, but you would need 100mm koppers logs every 1.2metres along the wall to help support it. These would have to concreted in. Don't forget, the colorbond would only last about 10 years, whereas the treated pine 'should' last about 30 years. Hope that helps.
