ring barked! (forum)

gardenfarmer starts with ...
the chooks just hoed into the 3 yo cherry tree trunk and ring barked it completely in a 75 mm ring

if anyone can advise I wish to try and save the tree
there is not much time.....

Bark graft, take bark from a shoot, put it over the gap, taking care to pare the cambium sufaces together. Thats the layer imemdiatley, under the bark.

Wrap with plastic to make airtight.
