I believe there is a very low chill japanese type plum called the Scarlet Beauty Plum which only requires between 100 to 150 hrs chill. It was bred in USA in Florida by a plant breeder named Robert Lambert. Apparently the fruit are large and have red flesh and are also sweet. Wouldn't it be great for plum lovers in Qld. if this was available in Australia?
