Soursop is related to similar fruits such as Sweetsop and Custard Apple.
The info you want had been discussed in another thread of this forum:

Cheers !!

I tried for 10 yearsd to get fruit on Soursop in sub-tropical Childers . Also knew an expert grower who had tried for 20 years in Bundaberg . Sadly it is to tropical to get good fruits on . Though I have heard of some bearing in Brisbane , maybe much better microclimate or global warming , who knows . I have just got my first few fruit on a seedling tree I planted 2 years ago .

Im with Steve - Soursop is the nicest tasting fruit ive tried. Im astounded that these arent available more commercially!
Ive even considered moving up to the tropics just to be able grow these sublime fruits.

Steve McX,
I am retired guy of 68 yrs with around 50 plus fruit trees. I am including Photo of SOUR Sop of 6 yrs old which has fruited for 3 yrs so that will indicate the tree will grow quite successfully around Bundaberg in Sub-Tropical climate. I welcome any further enquires to my e-mail bazza66@tpg,com.au.

Thanks to all who replied. Would seem that the Soursop is a Queensland only tree. What a shame for us Mexicans. lol..

Thanks Mike, things have really slowed down here now. 10Kg that's impressive, how many sittings to get through it. Will plant the chempadeks this coming spring, even though its winter still seeing some slow growth. The Amber jack is in the ground and doing very well. ,very lobed looking leaves totally unlike the other 2 still in pots.

Wow David, you have the magic touch!
I've found my Ambers really slow and tender, but have one in ground, which is doing better than the one in the pot. I have three 1/4 size fruit on my wee Kyogle soursop and am hoping they make it through the winter. Tree is still loaded with flowers.

Hi BJ yes my Kyogle has fruit on to, not happy with the fruit set though is out of step with the seedling 25yr old tree nearer the house of which I picked a fruit the other day, also BJ look at the new email address I have dphuntbris@gmaildotcom. I have one Berry jack which is 6ins high will go in spring time. Did your Chempedaks make it or not,for me they are slow but steady.
