I collected some seeds , but the berries had not ripened enough and the seeds were not mature enough . I will try and get some seeds from a local lady , if she comes to the next Monster Msarket at Mission Beach . She has to ford a river in a tractor and load up her van in the dark to bring things to the market . BUT what a choice selection of rare exotics she has !!!
Durio graveolens and all sorts of other exotics from Borneo , that she collected herself ..

Thankyou again Trikus. Seems like even a potted plant is hard to get. Please stay in touch.
Do you have Durian up your way? We have tried many times to get seeds to germinate from the frozen imported fruit from Thailand but no success. Any suggestions please? (anyone)

Frozen seeds would not have much of a chance of sprouting . There is sometimes seedling Durian trees available here for a reasonable price , and I got some very rare ones recently , Durio obolongatus and Durio graveolens , only $30 ea. I have not planted them yet , and supply is very limited . I hope to get a few more .
You would have no chance of growing a tree to maturity up in Toowoomba , you better think of shifting up to the tropics , still cheap land around here . Michael [ trikus mikus ]
